Dr. Tanaka is a graduate of UC Davis. He began practicing Veterinary medicine in the Bay area for 5 years at a multi-doctor practice, while also working at the Oakland Animal Shelter. He then moved to San Diego from the Bay area & traveled weekly to L.A. to complete his surgical residency. Missing San Diego he continued to commute until he finally decided to settle in Encinitas and start a family.
